The United Nations Human Rights Council has passed a resolution calling for a freeze on all arms sales to Israel, and for the administration to be held accountable for war crimes that may occur in the Gaza Strip.

The resolution, which was presented by Pakistan on behalf of all member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) except Albania, emphasized "the need to ensure accountability for all violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law to end the situation of indifference ."
The resolution also noted "deep concern over reports of serious human rights violations and serious violations of international humanitarian law, including possible war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied Palestinian territory ."
The resolution also called for an "immediate cessation of hostilities" and "immediate delivery of humanitarian aid ."
The resolution also condemned "the use of civilian starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza", where the United Nations has warned of impending famine .
