Haniyeh's warning that conflict is spreading across the region
The head of Hamas' politburo said Thursday night: "We have warned everyone that if this war continues, it could lead to a regional conflict." According to ArabNews, Ismail Haniyeh stressed: "After today's massacre in the Nur Shams camp, the crimes of the Zionist enemy have spread to the West Bank, as well as to Lebanon, in order to suppress the will to resist." “We have announced to everyone that these crimes must be condemned, and the murderers and criminals must be tried and punished in international courts,” he said. He continued: “The goal is to resettle the Gazans in Egypt and the ZBRI residents in Jordan.”
"The enemy's continued crimes against the people of Gaza will upset all equations in Palestine and the region," Haniyeh added. The head of the Hamas political bureau also said: "What is happening in the Gaza Strip will lead to a regional war that the enemy and his supporters will not be able to control." “Despite the barbarity and crimes of the Zionists, the initiative in this battle is in the hands of the Palestinian resistance,” he added. Pointing to the United States' failure to gain Islamic and Arab support for the Gazan resettlement plan, Haniyeh said: "The people of Palestine are committed to the right of return and will never accept relocation or the creation of an alternative homeland."
