Hezbollah confirms the martyrdom of commander Ibrahim Aqil in an Israeli terrorist attack
The Lebanese Hezbollah movement has announced the death of its high-level commander Ibrahim Aqil in a terrorist attack carried out on Friday by the illegal Israeli regime in Beirut.
In its statement on Friday night, Hezbollah praised its martyred commander. The statement said: "The great leader of jihad, Hajj Ibrahim Aqeel [Hajj Abdul Qader], has joined the ranks of his martyred brothers, the great leaders who preceded him."
Likewise, the statement said: " His life was one of unwavering dedication, it was a life of jihad, perseverance, and unwavering dedication even in times of trouble."
In addition, Hizbullah has said: " Al-Quds (Jerusalem) was always in his heart and mind, day and night. It was his greatest passion and he had great hopes that one day he would be able to pray in the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. Hizbullah has vowed to continue its goal of liberating the Holy Quds until the final victory, God willing ."
Hajj Aqil joined Hezbollah in the 1980s and was involved in the group's operations against Israel .
Early on Friday, the Israeli regime carried out an attack in the city of Beirut, killing at least 14 people and injuring 66 others .
According to the official Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), five children were among those killed in the Israeli terrorist attack.
Lebanon's al-Mayadeen TV channel said a drone fired several missiles at the densely populated Dahiyeh neighborhood in Beirut. The official Lebanese National News Agency has said that an F35 fighter jet was used in the attack.
