The Iraqi military has an export version of the Chinese drone, the CH-5, which has a range of more than 10,000 kilometers, and is capable of flying for 60 hours.

In addition, this Chinese-made drone can carry up to 16 missiles and carry a load of up to three tons. Previously, the Defense Mirror military website reported that Iraq had purchased a number of CH-5 combat spy drones which are rivals to the United States drone, the MQ-9 Reaper. Iraq initially purchased Chinese CH-4 drones in 2015 to fight the ISIS terrorist group. These drones are capable of carrying loads of up to 345 kilograms and carry six missiles.

The Iraqi Armed Forces also intend to buy JF-17 fighter jets made in Pakistan, then replace their engines with F-16 engines made in the US, because the US fighter jets that Iraq has received cannot be operated. One of the reasons why the US fighter jets could not be flown after arriving in Iraq was because there were no spare parts and repairs.
