Italian newspaper reveals new details on suspicious death of Mossad agent
A recently retired agent of Israel's Mossad spy agency died along with two Italian spies in a mysterious accident when a boat carrying dozens of intelligence agents capsized and sank in a lake in northern Italy this weekend. To the story told by the media that the former Israeli agent, 50-year-old Erez Shimoni, and his "old friends" from Intelligence, were on a boat in the middle of Lake Maggiore when they were suddenly swept away by a tremendous whirlwind, no one believes anymore.
Among the victims would also be a Russian woman, part of the crew made up of two people. No trip for the thirteen Mossad agents or for the eight Italians of Aise (the secret services for foreign countries). The case is now expanding, so much so that it has landed on the table of the Italian premier Giorgia Meloni in the form of a question from +Europe (signatories Della Vedova and Magi), who wants "clarity on this secret mission and wonders if the 'hypothesis of an attack', while Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano, Delegated Authority for the Security of the Republic, will be heard on Wednesday by Copasir to report on the incident.
According to Il Giornale, against the background of the massacre there would therefore be an exchange of information between the intelligence services of the two countries. It cannot be ruled out that in the days prior to the trip, the intelligence services held a discussion on the missions in Israel: the Mossad agents were in all likelihood in Lombardy to carry out some meetings, at the center of which there would also be documents top secret.
