Jenin, Palestinian teenager dies of Israeli gunshot wounds
A Palestinian girl has died from Israeli army gunshot wounds she suffered two days ago following the deadly Israeli army raid on the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. The official WAFA news agency, citing the Palestinian Ministry of Health, identified the victim as Sadil Ghassan Turkman, 15, noting that she was shot in the head and died on Wednesday at the government hospital in Jenin.
Separately, 55-year-old Nasser Saleh Sanan, who was also shot in the head by Israeli army gunfire during an assault on Jenin last month, died of his injuries on Tuesday. Early Monday, Israeli soldiers stormed Jenin and fired live ammunition, stun grenades and toxic gas. The helicopter gunships were used for the first time in decades after the ensuing hours-long exchange of gunfire between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli army soldiers.
