Jenin, Resistance inspires Palestinian youth
The failed Israeli military operation against the city of Jenin has spread frustration and despair among Israeli society. On the other hand, the steadfastness of the Palestinian Resistance in the face of the huge Zionist arsenal has begun to inspire Palestinian youth. Arab affairs analyst Hizi Sementov reported calls to form armed committees across the West Bank to fight the Zionist army just like the Lions' Den in Nablus. Ore Hilar, military correspondent for Channel 13, said Jenin has become a source of inspiration for Palestinian fighters, adding that more and more landmines are targeting the Zionist occupation forces across the West Bank.
Israeli analysts have pointed out that the direct clashes and homemade bomb explosions witnessed by the Israeli occupation army in Jenin would prevent Tel Aviv officials from launching the same operation again for fear of losing more soldiers. On Monday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a brutal military assault on the city and camp of Jenin in an attempt to root out resistance groups. After a two-day battle, the occupation forces managed to kill 12 civilians and cause much destruction; however, the Palestinian Resistance stood firm and faced the Israeli invasion, preventing the enemy from reaching the central part of the city and the camp.
