With Turkey's initiative, 52 countries sent a letter to the Security Council, requesting that measures be taken to stop the sending of weapons and ammunition to the Israeli regime.

Launching an initiative to raise international awareness to halt the sale of arms and ammunition to the Israeli regime, Turkey sent a letter to the Security Council with the support of 52 UN member states and two international and regional organizations. The signatories of the letter called on the international community to halt the shipment of arms and ammunition to Israel and requested that the United Nations Security Council take measures on the matter.

The letter was sent on November 1 from the United Kingdom to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the rotating chairman of the Security Council, and to UN General Assembly President Philemon Young in November. The letter was sent by the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Turkey, Iran, Palestine, Bahrain, Bangladesh, UAE, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Djibouti, China, Indonesia, Morocco, and Gambia. It has been signed by 52 countries: South Africa, Iraq, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Colombia, Comoros, Kuwait, Cuba, Libya, Lebanon, Maldives, Malaysia, Mexico, Egypt, Mauritania, Namibia, Nigeria, Nicaragua, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Tunisia, Oman, Jordan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen and Zimbabwe./
