Lula in Portugal: in the European tour of the Brazilian president Ukraine and Mercosur

Peace in Ukraine but not through the equidistance between attacked and aggressor. The Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, arrived in Portugal today for the first European tour since the beginning of his mandate. The first official engagements will begin tomorrow morning, when he will be received by the Portuguese president, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, while in the afternoon he will meet the premier Antonio Costa. On the 25th he will be in Spain, where he will meet Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. During the European tour, Lula will once again support the need for peace negotiations in Ukraine, even if he should tone down with respect to what he did on the occasion of his recent trip to China and the United Arab Emirates, which earned him criticism from the EU and United States. Furthermore, in Portugal and Spain, Lula should accompany the evolution of the negotiations for the entry into force of the agreement between the EU and Mercosur.
