Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Zionist Provocation at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the provocative actions of the Minister of Internal Security of the Zionist regime and Israeli settlers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. On Thursday and Friday, the Israeli occupation regime's Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the entrance of Bab al-Magharaba, under the heavy protection of Israeli security forces. This move by the Zionist regime seeks to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque in any way possible. In response to Israeli attacks and crimes, Palestinian resistance groups have targeted Israeli settlements around the borders of the Gaza Strip and north of the occupied territories with rockets several times.

The resistance group has emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque is their red line and any disturbance of it will be met with a firm and harsh response. Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement issued on Friday (28/7/2023) considered this attack a clear blasphemy against Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes Itamar Ben Gvir's provocative actions with a number of Israeli officials and settlers are a form of aggression to change the historical and legal status of Al Quds, especially the Al Aqsa Mosque. Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the international community to hold Israel accountable for its aggressive actions to bring about peace and stability in the region.
