Malaysian police arrest an Israeli who planned a terrorist attack

Malaysian Police Chief, Razaruddin Hussain said in a press conference that on March 27, an Israeli citizen was arrested with 6 pistols and more than 200 bullets.

He said the suspect is 36 years old, and that he entered Malaysia on the 12th of this month using a French passport.

Hussein said, it was found that the suspect entered Malaysia "using a French passport, and after further investigation, the suspect handed over his Israeli passport."

A statement from the Malaysian police has said that the detained Israeli previously claimed that he "entered the country to track down and kill an Israeli citizen due to a family dispute."

However, Malaysian security agencies do not believe the Israeli suspect's claims, "and say there is a possibility that he had another agenda." The Malaysian police chief added that the police investigation is based on the possibility that the suspect was an agent of the Mossad intelligence agency.

In December 2022, Malaysian authorities successfully foiled an attempt by the Mossad to kidnap two young Palestinians living in the country.
