Molotov cocktail attack on the Israeli embassy in Bucharest
A foreign national has been arrested in Bucharest, Romania after allegedly attacking the Israeli embassy with a Molotov cocktail, causing a small fire but no casualties.
It is known that the Romanian Intelligence Service caught the 34-year-old suspect, before the police went to the scene, adding that the suspect tried to set himself on fire.
As reported, the suspect is a Syrian citizen, AP reports.
A police spokesman has stated that the incident was motivated by a personal grievance and not in the context of Israel's ongoing war in Gaza.
The incident was confirmed by the Israeli embassy itself, which in an official statement said that "the suspect had taken a molotov cocktail, lit it and threw it towards the entrance of the embassy".
Now the Romanian police are investigating the case.
