About twenty Palestinians injured following the umpteenth incursion by Israeli troops into the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. The military fired tear gas into the crowd in their latest act of aggression in the occupied Palestinian territories. According to eyewitnesses quoted by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, large numbers of Israeli soldiers stormed Nablus' eastern flank from different directions in the early hours of Wednesday. Clashes then erupted between dozens of Palestinian youths and Israeli troops, with the latter firing bullets and tear gas, while Palestinians threw stones and petrol bombs and closed roads to prevent Israeli armored vehicles from entering the city.

There have also been reports of clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance fighters. The Nablus Brigade, associated with al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement, said its members fired on vehicles of the invading Israeli army. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said a young Palestinian man with a serious wound in his abdomen and another injured in his thigh were transferred to Rafidia Surgical Hospital for treatment. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) also reported that its teams have treated dozens of Palestinians who have suffered breathing difficulties due to tear gas inhalation during the clashes.
