The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was proclaimed World Quds Day on the initiative of the founder of the Islamic revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini (may the mercy of Allah be with him).
 
Every year, with the arrival of the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, fasting Muslims in Iran and other Islamic countries celebrate Quds Day by participating in gatherings and processions.
 
According to local News, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah on Friday evening, speaking at the ceremony of the first night of the month of Ramadan in the southern suburbs of Beirut, emphasized the need to widely celebrate World Quds Day this year, and said: “These days, the residents of the Gaza Strip, on the one hand , have witnessed all forms of heinous crimes of the Zionist regime, including murder, hunger, daily destruction, displacement, fear, and on the other hand, the fighters of the resistance front bravely and persistently resist the onslaught of the invaders on the battlefields of the Gaza Strip.”
 
The Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah emphasized the importance of prayer at the special ceremony of the Night of Destiny (Laylat-al-Qadr) in the holy month of Ramadan and addressed the fasting people with the words: “In all situations and trials of life, prayer addressed to God is one of the needs of Muslims and today, also due to special circumstances, the peoples of the region need prayer and opening the doors of God's mercy more than ever.
