On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared: "We will not leave southern Syria and we will not allow terrorist groups to establish themselves there. Southern Syria must be cleared of any military presence."
Participants in the protests held in Tartus, Daraa, Latakia and Suwayda on Tuesday declared their opposition to the Israeli regime's aggression against villages and towns in the Golan Heights and condemned the Israeli authorities' recent statements regarding Syrian territories.
The demonstrators carried banners reading: "Netanyahu, be quiet, we Syrians are united and defend our country."
The final statement of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference stressed the need to preserve the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and rejected any action aimed at dividing Syria’s territory.
Damascus also condemned Israel’s attack on Syrian territory, calling it a violation of its sovereignty and calling on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the aggression and withdraw its forces from the country’s territory.
Responding to Netanyahu's recent statements, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed that Israel seeks to expand its territory. He added, "The Syrian people will not allow Israel to occupy their land."
Responding to the Israeli warplanes' attack on southern Syria, the regime's Defense Minister Israel Katz declared: "We will not allow southern Syria to become southern Lebanon. We will respond with fire to any attempt by Syria to create military infrastructure in the south."
Hamas has called on the international community to respond to the Israeli regime's land and air aggression against Syria.
The statement reads: "We strongly condemn the aggression of the Zionist regime against Syria. These attacks are a clear violation of Syria's sovereignty and are in line with the regime's terrorist policy towards Arab countries."
