Netanyahu's Troubled Legacy: A Chronicle of Endless Failures and Defeats

By: M. Sharifi

The tenure of Benjamin Netanyahu in the Israeli regime has left a dark stain on the pages of history. The relentless atrocities and oppression inflicted upon the Palestinian civilians under his rule culminated in the successful Operation “Al-Aqsa Storm” on October 7th, a mission that ended in complete victory, much to the surprise of Israel and its Western supporters. Netanyahu's strategic blunders in the aftermath of October 7th, coupled with great casualties in the subsequent Gaza war, only further underscored the regime's ineptitude. The October Al-Aqsa Storm marked a significant intelligence, security, and military setback for Israel, followed by a second defeat as Iran unleashed its wrath by launching hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones against Israel, penetrating its air defense systems, and significantly destroying military bases in the Negev Desert.

Iran's Ballistic Retaliation: A Defiant Response to Israeli Aggression

On April 1, the Israeli regime murdered seven senior Iranian military officials in a terrorist airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria. This grave provocation crossed Iran's red line, violating international norms and sovereignty. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, invoking the principle of "legitimate defense" under the UN Charter, launched a retaliatory strike against Israeli targets, signaling a resolute stance against Israel's belligerence.

Netanyahu's Precarious Position and Simmering Internal Strife

Netanyahu's grip on power in the occupied territories has been marred by perpetual conflict and unrest. The recent "True Promise" operation by Iran has exacerbated internal pressures, leading to heightened discord within the cabinet. Tensions between Netanyahu, War Minister Yoav Galant, and former Israeli army Chief Benny Gantz have escalated, fueling a climate of mistrust and dissent.

Mounting calls for a ceasefire

The prolonged conflict in Gaza has yielded little success for the Zionist regime, casting a shadow over Netanyahu's leadership. The failure to secure the release of Israeli prisoners has further eroded his authority. Efforts to escalate tensions through attacks on the Iranian consulate have backfired, prompting calls for a ceasefire from Israel's allies. Pressure to end the hostilities in Gaza has intensified, with even staunch supporters urging restraint and peace.

Hamas seizes the initiative?

As the Gaza war rages on, Israel finds itself ensnared in a quagmire of its own making. The groundbreaking Operation “True Promise” has dealt a severe blow to the Israeli regime, leaving it vulnerable on multiple fronts. While Israel may seek to prolong the conflict to evade accountability, Hamas has taken charge, refusing to engage in negotiations until Israel faces consequences for its actions. The ball is now in Israel's court, with mediators left with the stark choice of compelling Israel to the table or facing the closure of diplomatic avenues.

In the wake of Netanyahu's tumultuous reign, the Israeli regime stands at a crossroads, grappling with the repercussions of a legacy marred by failures and unending defeats. The road ahead is fraught with challenges as the regime navigates the complexities of regional dynamics and rising sociopolitical schisms at home. But let us be frank. Israel is doomed, and the Gaza Strip will definitely emerge like a phoenix from the ashes of Israel’s wars.
