Nikki Haley: Trump and Biden "grumpy old men"
Former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump and Joe Biden ahead of the state's Republican primary in a few weeks, calling them "grumpy old men."
As the Republican primary elections in South Carolina approach on March 5, Nikki Haley, the candidate of this American party for the presidency, has launched strong attacks against her rivals. She called both her former Republican colleague, Donald Trump, and current Democratic President Joe Biden "grumpy old men". Nikki Haley, the 52-year-old former ambassador to the United Nations and former governor of South Carolina, is the only Republican candidate who has seriously challenged Donald Trump, the 77-year-old former president of the United States, for the Republican nomination. The upcoming primary in South Carolina is very important to the party, and a Trump victory would potentially strengthen his position as the presumptive nominee. While Haley's victory seems more likely. Trump and Haley, both Republican candidates, have campaigned actively in South Carolina, Haley's home state, where she has been governor for eight consecutive years. Haley's campaign recently launched a series of political ads titled "Grumpy Old Men" in reference to the age of the two leading candidates. Using imagery reminiscent of the 1993 film Grumpy Old Men, Haley posted a modified version of the film's poster on social media, featuring the faces of Joe Biden and Donald Trump instead of the film's actors. In an interview with CNN, Haley said: "We need someone who can work for eight years to get our country back on track, to improve the country and make sure that we keep our economy strong and prevent the war. She added that the country cannot have either of these two and after calling them "grumpy old men", she emphasized: I don't want to be offensive. This is a fact that the people, as well as the Congress, must understand. We need to have people at their peak. These are matters of national security. These issues are related to the future of our economy. We can't have both. At 81, Biden holds the record for the oldest president in American history. At the age of 77, he became the oldest president of the United States of America.
