North Korea: nuclear submarine drone tested

An underwater nuclear drone capable of unleashing a "radioactive tsunami".

North Korea tested its new secret weapon, placed in waters off South Hamgyong province on Tuesday, according to state-run KCNA news agency. Sailed for over 59 hours at depths of between 80 and 150 meters and was blown up off the east coast. Tensions on the Korean peninsula have increased as the United States and South Korea concluded the largest joint field exercises in five years on Wednesday. South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said on Friday that he "will make sure North Korea pays the price for its reckless provocations."
