Zionist regime threatens to "reoccupy" and "recolonize" Gaza
TEL AVIV - A minister of Netanyahu's new extremist regime has threatened to "reoccupy" the besieged Gaza Strip and "recolonize" the settlements that they had been evacuated in the area before 2005. Israeli Minister of National Missions Orit Strook told Israeli Channel 7 that the Zionist regime must return to the settlers (Jewish extremists) four settlements (evacuated in August 2005) in Gaza and the West Bank northern. "I believe we have made many sacrifices to restore Gaza," Strook said, adding "Unfortunately, we cannot return to Gaza without causing many casualties, just as the withdrawal from the Strip occurred with many casualties." However, the response of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to such claims was that "Israel is too weak to occupy the area once again."
Strook is just a minister in Israel's new far-right regime led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has already begun work - after taking office on December 29 - to carry out his warmongering policies especially in the besieged Strip and occupied West Bank. . In one of many deals signed before the regime took office, Netanyahu promised the Religious Zionist party, one of his main coalition partners, to annex the occupied West Bank. The agreement stated that the Jewish people "have a natural right to the Land of Israel".
