  Al-Aqsa mosque preacher said: "The first qibla of Muslims continues to burn in flames in many ways after 1969." At the suggestion of the Islamic Republic of Iran and with the consent of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the day of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on 21 August 1969 was proclaimed World Mosque Day. On the occasion of the anniversary of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikram Sabri addressed the Arab and Islamic world in an exclusive interview with an Arab NEWS reporter in Quds, stating that Al-Aqsa Mosque should be supported in every possible way.

Al-Aqsa Mosque Preacher said: "The fire at Al-Aqsa Mosque is still burning and Zionist attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque continue in the form of excavations and expulsion of Palestinian youth from this mosque." Speaking about the fact that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the first Qibla of Muslims, Sheikh Ikram Sabri emphasized: "The Al-Aqsa Mosque is intended not only for the people of Palestine, but also for Muslims all over the world."
