Pentagon Strategy Document: Iran Doesn't Want to Control Nuclear Weapons
The United States Department of Defense, Pentagon, in the Strategy document Against Weapons of Mass Destruction, DoD CWMD 2023, again explained that Iran is not trying to control nuclear weapons. The Pentagon in CWMD 2023, which was released on Thursday (28/9/2023) once again acknowledged that Iran is not implementing a policy of producing nuclear weapons.
On page 5 of the 15-page 2023 Pentagon Strategy document, it is explained, "Iran is not considered to be carrying out a nuclear weapons program even though it has the capability to produce fissile material for nuclear devices in less than two weeks."This is not the first time that a US government agency has confirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not seeking to acquire nuclear weapons. The evaluation results of US intelligence services, released last year, also concluded the same results.
The US Directorate of National Intelligence, ODNI in an assessment published in July 2023 announced, "Iran is not currently undertaking activities related to major nuclear weapons development to produce a testable nuclear device."Likewise, the United States Intelligence Community, in April 2022, announced that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons at this time.
Western countries led by the US and the Zionist regime in recent years have continued to accuse Iran of trying to control nuclear weapons, but this accusation is firmly denied by Tehran. Iran emphasizes that it is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, NPT, and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, so it has the right to control nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
