Together with Indonesia, as a Muslim-majority country, Malaysia strongly condemns Israel for its attacks on the Gaza Strip and its oppression of millions of Palestinians. Quoted from The Star, the Inspector General of the Malaysian Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, announced the increase in security for Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday (26/10). He said the police would not compromise on matters concerning Anwar's security. "The Prime Minister's security is our top priority," Razarudin told Bernama.

16 Thousand Malaysians Take Part in Defending Palestine Event Previously, Anwar revealed the threats he received when giving a speech at the 'Malaysia Standing with Palestine' event in Bukit Jalil, on Tuesday (24/10). More than 16 thousand Malaysians from various backgrounds flocked to the solidarity event. Anwar said he had received several 'threats' from Western countries — following Malaysia's stance, support and commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people as well as criticism leveled against the Israeli Zionist government.

However, Anwar emphasized that as long as he was given a mandate and trusted by the people, as head of government, Anwar would not be intimidated by such threats. "As long as I have the trust of the people, I will not give in to threats like that. We will continue to fight," added Anwar. In the same speech, Anwar also criticized the biased attitude of the United States and its Western allies - which condemned Russia for the attack in Ukraine, but supported Israel in its invasion of Palestine. Anwar explained that Israel's arrogance, driven by US and European support, had triggered Zionist forces to launch horrific inhumane acts. Examples, said Anwar, include the deliberate killing of Palestinian babies and allowing attacks on hospitals and schools.

"This is the level of madness to allow people to be massacred, babies to be killed, hospitals to be bombed and schools to be destroyed, this is an act of barbarity. We observed that when Israel invaded Palestine, they remained silent. What kind of justice is this? This is the law of the jungle," denounced Anwar. In this regard, Anwar then gathered enthusiasm and support from Malaysia for the Palestinian people so that they could continue to survive under the onslaught of the colonial forces.
