Raising the Palestinian flag over Dublin City Council in support of the people of Gaza
The Palestinian flag will be flown over Dublin City Council for seven days.
The plan was presented to members of Dublin City Council by the Independent Group, Sinn Féin, the Social Democrats, People Before Profit. City Councilor Siran Perry, pointing to the Zionist regime's brutal attacks on the people of Gaza, said: "These killings must stop, we repeat our request for an immediate ceasefire and the sending of humanitarian aid to Gaza." He added: "It is clear that Israel (the regime) does not care about the widespread global disgust at the indiscriminate killing of civilians in the Gaza Strip, so we must continue to put pressure on the leaders of countries that support this regime." Local councilor Nolin Riley said after the plan was approved: "The continued bombing of innocent men, women and children is inexcusable, and anyone who does not call for an immediate ceasefire in the region is on the wrong side of history." The Independent Group has asked the US government to use its influence with the Zionist regime to prevent the indiscriminate killing of people in the Gaza Strip.
