Ramaphosa: South Africa cannot be fully independent until Palestine is liberated

President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa has said that, the majority of the people of his country, together with the government and the ruling party of the African National Congress (ANC) support the movement of the Palestinian people to fight for freedom.

 President Ramaphosa said this in front of football fans at a fundraising match for Palestine held in Cape Town, South Africa and emphasized by saying: "We are following in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela who told us and taught us that... our freedom will not be complete until the freedom of Palestinians when you are found." He also said that South Africa cannot be considered a free country until Palestine gets its full independence. President Ramaphosa said this while being cheered by football fans at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town and emphasized that: "So we are not completely free until the Palestinians are free... we will stand and we will fight side by side with them and that is why we went International Court of Justice (ICJ) to sue Israel." South Africa has stood firm to defend the Palestinian nation South Africa hosted the Palestinian national team match in Cape Town for a soccer game to raise funds to help the Palestinians who are brutally attacked by the Zionist regime.
