Matthew Petty, an expert with the Kurdish Peace Institute, wrote in a note published on a website associated with the Quincy Institute that the letter was signed by Texas Republican Party representative Lance Gooden; Arizona Republican Representative Paul Gosar; Nicole Malliotakis, a representative of the New York Republican Party, and Raul Ruiz, a representative of the California Democratic Party. He wrote: “The letter is being lobbied by the Organization of Iranian American Communities, which is a supporter of the Rajavi sect (Munafiqin terrorist group led by Massoud Rajavi) in the United States, which carried out this action by writing a letter and communicating with representatives of the American parliament; in recent months, Vice former US President Donald Trump's President Mike Pence and his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also met with Munafiqin leaders and publicly supported them.According to the expert's note, residents of Camp Ashraf in Tirana (Albania) are members of a terrorist group that has attacked thousands of Iranians in its terrorist attacks , and not only on the opposition and opponents of the Islamic Republic. Of course, they are trying to change the government of Iran, but for such a task they follow the path of killing people, because they know that it is impossible to change the government while the people are in favor of the government. The expert emphasized that the group with such a terrorist history, which even killed three American officers before the revolution, received the support of a number of members of the American Congress, which shows “what an important role money plays in the American power structure.” An expert from the Kurdish Peace Think Tank, speaking about the cooperation of the terrorist group Munafiqin with Israel in the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists, wrote that Republican efforts to improve their relations with this terrorist organization and revive the role of this sect in US foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic can be attributed to the decline of last year's unrest in Iran and the defeat of other opposition groups, especially the royalists who wanted to lead the rioters.
