Russia sees no grounds for preparing a new UN resolution on Ukraine
Russia sees no grounds for preparing a new UN resolution on Ukraine. Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, told RIA Novosti about this. "We don't see any basis for that," Polyansky said, noting that there are no ideas for a new resolution either. According to him, at the beginning of the conflict, Russia proposed its own resolution, which contained only humanitarian aspects, but even that was unacceptable for Western countries. According to Polyansky, Russia wants the issue of supplying Western weapons to Ukraine to be discussed at the UN, but the West refuses to "look in the mirror". Earlier, Russia sent a note of protest to the NATO countries for supplying Ukraine with military equipment. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that any cargo containing military equipment intended for Ukraine will become a legal target for Russia. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation announced that the NATO countries are playing with fire by supplying Ukraine with military equipment.
