Russia: The peace of Ukraine depends on stopping the transfer of arms to the country
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia has said that peace negotiations for Ukraine are only possible by stopping the delivery of weapons to that country.
The RT news agency has quoted Maria Zakharova as saying that Western countries should stop providing weapons to Kyiv if they want peace talks for Ukraine. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia has explained this in response to the remarks of the Foreign Minister of Switzerland who discussed the issue of Moscow's participation in the Ukraine peace process. At the same time, Zakharova has warned that Moscow will not negotiate with any party if the purpose of the statements of some Western countries is to involve Russia in a false process based on the conditions of the Western countries in order to affect the foundations of Russian law. It will be remembered that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, said yesterday Sunday, on the sidelines of the peace conference on Ukraine held in Davos, that several countries are pursuing the issue of mediation so that Russia can participate in the peace talks in Ukraine. Annalena Baerbock (right) and Stéphane Séjourné, Foreign Ministers of Germany and France German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has also said that there is a need to continue European aid to Ukraine even though Russia has not yet left Ukraine. Russia has repeatedly said that the action of Western countries to send weapons to Ukraine will prolong the conflict in that country and unpredictable events.
