US will send ammunition containing uranium to Ukraine

The Russian President's Office responded to the United States' plan to send munitions containing weakened uranium to Ukraine. The Russian Presidential Office, Thursday (7/9/2023) announced that the United States is fully responsible for the entire impact of sending this kind of ammunition to Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said NATO's use of munitions containing large amounts of weakened uranium in the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia had increased cases of cancer and other diseases, and this problem could occur in Ukraine now. The United States Department of Defense, the Pentagon, last Wednesday announced it would send a new military aid package worth 175 million dollars to Ukraine.
