"The West is not interested in conducting an effective investigation into terrorism, despite the huge damage done to the European economy and environment," Zakharova said.
According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Moscow has repeatedly sent requests for legal assistance to European countries with the request to provide support to the Russian investigation of terrorism.
"All those requests were rejected on fictitious pretexts or without explanation at all. Such behavior certainly contradicts the international legal obligations of the given states," he noted.
Zakharova reminded that earlier the US and its satellites refused to support the draft resolution of the UN Security Council presented by Russia in March 2023, which planned to conduct an independent international investigation under the auspices of the world organization. According to him, in October 2023, Washington and Western countries "torpedoed" the Russian draft of the statement of the President of the UN Security Council on the subject.
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has sent new requests regarding the issue of "Northern Streams".

The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia initiated a case on international terrorism. Russia has repeatedly requested data on the explosions in the "North Streams", but has never received them, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
