Russia: US is developing biological weapons in Ukraine

The information obtained by the Russian military authorities proves once again that the United States is developing biological weapons on the territory of Ukraine.

This was stated by Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the radiological, chemical and biological defense troops, during a briefing.

Kirillov noted that although the United States itself has had bird flu outbreaks since 2003 and one case of transmission to humans, in the entire history of surveillance there have been no recorded outbreaks of disease on US territory that have posed a major threat to food security, such as African swine fever and foot and mouth disease.

Kirillov recalled that in October 2022 the United States promulgated the National Strategy on Biological Threats, which has a doctrinal nature and defines the management of biological risk as a vital priority for the USA.

"With the approved strategy, Washington intends to create a US-controlled architecture to prevent, respond to and neutralize biological threats in its national interest," Kirillov explained.
