Russian analyst. NATO is trying to deploy in Armenia
The director of the Russian "Modern State Development" Institute referred to the possible presence of NATO in Armenia, noting that as long as Yerevan is a CSTO member, there cannot be an American military base in this country.
In an interview given to the "Kolibri" analytical website, referring to the possibility of deploying NATO troops in Armenia and its consequences, Dimitri Solonikov said: "The Americans advance their interests through Armenia. They make all their moves with bribes. In particular, there is one person in Armenia, I mean the Prime Minister, who carries out the orders of the USA and through him the USA implements its policy in this strategic region. Referring to Iran's reaction to the developments in the Caucasus region, Solonikov said. "Tehran will remain loyal to a strict political line. Iran is interested in maintaining the common border with Armenia." It should be noted that the other day, the head of the European Commission on NATO expansion, Günter Flinger, called on Armenia to join NATO on his X social network page. Flinger wrote about the possibility of establishing American military bases in Armenia. "NATO armed forces can be deployed in Armenia in the form of peacekeeping missions and observers." It is noteworthy that recently the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, announced that none of the NATO members asked Armenia to join the alliance. He added that Yerevan is ready to continue cooperation with the alliance.
