Russian Diplomatic Representative Office in Africa will be added
A spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia's diplomatic representative offices in African countries would be added. Maria Zakharova, Saturday (5/8/2023) announced that the Moscow government intends to increase the number of diplomatic representative offices on the African continent. He added, "Until the end of 2023, Russia will open its Embassies in Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea."
According to him, the decision to open more diplomatic representatives in Africa was made in order to increase Russia's attention to this continent, and carry out President Vladimir Putin's directives. After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, and amidst intense Western pressure, relations between African countries and Moscow have improved. On the other hand, in the next few months, Russia plans to send grain free of charge to six African countries. (HS)
