Russian official: Iran's attack on Zionist regime broke his arrogance

Russia has criticized the failure of the UN Security Council to take appropriate action following the Israeli regime's attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, the capital of Syria.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Sunday regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran's missile and drone attack on Israel, noting that the attack was carried out in defense and based on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the international community did not react explicitly to the illegal actions of the Zionist regime after the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Syria.

The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed concern about the increased instability in the region and added that the unresolved nature of numerous crises in Western Asia, especially in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, which is often accompanied by irresponsible provocative actions, will lead to increased tension.

The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations also stated that Iran's military action is based on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which relates to legitimate self-defense in response to the Zionist regime's aggression against Iran's diplomatic installations in Damascus.

The Iranian Mission to the UN stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not intend to have a conflict with the US in the region, but if that country takes military action against Iran, its citizens or the interests of the Islamic Republic, it reserves the inherent right to respond accordingly.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, the Zionist regime attacked the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus. The terrorist attack killed seven senior Iranian military advisers.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Supreme Commander of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Khamenei, called Tel Aviv's actions an attack on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stressed that the Zionist regime will be “punished.”

In this regard, on the morning of Sunday, April 14, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps punished this aggressor regime by attacking the occupied Palestinian territories with drones and missiles.

The head of Russia's Talyshi Development Center said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' historic missile and drone attack against the genocidal Israeli regime destroyed the dignity of that regime's main supporters.

Ismail Musaevich Shabanov, in an interview with the Talysh radio department of the Foreign Broadcasting Department of the State Television and Radio of Iran, added that the countries that represented Israel as a formidable hegemon saw how Iran destroyed the dignity of supporters of the Zionist regime.

The head of the Russian Talyshi Development Center called the arrogance of the United States, especially in the face of Iranian attacks, a sign of the superiority of the Islamic Republic in the region and stressed that any US actions against Iran would lead to the complete expulsion of the United States from West Asia.

The Russian Presidential Adviser on Talysh Affairs called Iran's missile and drone attack against the Israeli regime an unprecedented action and a lesson for the appeasers and supporters of this regime and said: "The Zionists, who until now have not adhered to a single law for their arbitrary aggression and aggressive actions, have now well felt the power of Iran."

Ismail Shabanov, referring to the widespread reflection of Iran's victorious attack in Russian society, added that by punishing Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran took revenge on the martyrs of the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus and also made happy the hearts of Muslims and freedom lovers around the world, especially the Palestinian people.
