Sami Abu Zuhri: Gaza will remain Palestinian land
A high-level leader of the Hamas movement has said: "The violent regime of Israel has the notion that it can achieve its goals, but Gaza is and will remain an area of Palestinian land." Sami Abu Zuhri said in his conversation with Al-Alam that: The 415th day of the war has passed, and the brutal Israeli regime continues its war of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip.
He added that: Along with the war of killing invaders, we are still witnessing the weak positions of some Arab and Islamic countries.Abu Zuhri said: "We proudly congratulate the struggle of our people. The pure blood of our nation will not be lost in vain, but will be the capital of the struggle to liberate our country."
This prominent Hamas official has announced that: We are making a bigger campaign with international organizations and friendly countries to speed up the delivery of aid in Gaza.
The special rapporteur of the United Nations in matters of human rights in Palestine has said that the implementation and adherence of Western countries to the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to arrest the leaders of the Zionist regime is a test to measure the determination and responsibility of the West regarding that judgment.
Francesca Albanese added that: "The order to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu and the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and Yoav Gallant, the former Minister of War of that regime, is in fact the implementation of our demands for justice and punishment for the perpetrators of war and genocide He has also warned about the division between Western countries in relation to the judgment of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Francesca Albanese's remarks came after the International Criminal Court (ICC) of The Hague, after several months of war crimes committed by the brutal Israeli regime against the Palestinians, issued a warrant for the arrest of Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity and the use of starvation against the people of the Gaza Strip as a weapon of war. This is the first time that The Hague Court has ordered the arrest of the main leaders of the illegal Israeli regime.
However, after several months of the war in Gaza, the judgment of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has been issued, while the Ministry of Health of Gaza announced in its latest news that the number of martyrs in Gaza since the beginning of the war in Gaza is more than 44,000 and the number of injured is more than 104,000. Israel's killings and crimes also continue to this day, and aid channels to Gaza are still closed and UNRWA aid has also been cut off.
In this situation, the decision of the International Criminal Court has been faced with mixed feelings from Western countries. President Joe Biden of the United States has called the action of the ICC court in The Hague as tyrannical and once again emphasized his financial and material support for the Israeli graft regime. Victor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, has said that he is inviting Netanyahu, his fellow Israeli prime minister, to visit Budapest and that he does not respect the order of the (ICC) court.
Taking such a position has worried human rights institutions to the extent that the United Nations special rapporteur has issued a strong warning about the issue.
Francesca Albanese said: "Countries like the United States, Hungary and others that continue to support Israel regardless of the current situation in Gaza and humiliate the International Criminal Court in a situation where the issuance of a warrant for the arrest of Netanyahu and Gallant is an important point in world history.
In fact, human rights organizations are very concerned about the support of the West that makes the brutal Israeli regime continue its crimes in Gaza. The illegal regime of Israel, which has proven for many years that it does not comply with any international law or regulations, has taken a stand against the decision, and its allies also support it. This is in a situation where the continuation of this situation will undoubtedly increase the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. On that basis, United Nations officials say the implementation of the sentence is a big test for Western countries to test whether they respect international law as they claim or not.
Natalie Buckley, deputy of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), has also characterized the arrest warrants of senior Israeli politicians by the International Criminal Court as "addressing the suffering of millions of people." While pointing to the fact that "basically the people of Gaza are being blinded by the bar of extreme hunger" and therefore they are in dire need of emergency aid, he said that the leaders should be responsible for all the violations of international law that are taking place, and the current decision of the Criminal Court against officials two of Israel is the beginning of that responsibility.
However, some Western countries do not seem to have the obligation to implement this sentence or to try to stop the crimes committed by the Israeli regime, because within just two days after the decision of the ICC court, the proposed resolution to end the war in Gaza in Security was opposed by The United States and some European countries, including Germany, and insisting on continuing to use weapons against the Zionist regime.
