Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Bahit Lahiya has made the call a day after he was injured in an Israeli airstrike in the hospital.
"On behalf of myself and the staff of the Kamal Adwan hospital, we are asking the international community to take action. We are asking the WHO and other international institutions to take action as soon as possible to provide protection to medical facilities and staff against Israeli attacks", said the Director of the Hospital Kamal Adwan.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has announced that the Kamal Adwan Hospital located in the north of the Gaza Strip is facing a shortage of oxygen and water due to heavy attacks by warplanes of the Zionist regime.
The Ministry of Health of Palestine announced last Friday that the attacks of missiles and bombs aimed at the Kamal Adwan hospital have caused the destruction of the main electricity generator of the hospital and punctured the water tanks; and as a result, the hospital is facing a severe shortage of oxygen and water, which greatly endangers the lives of patients and staff working in the hospital.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has added that the attack on the Kamal Adwan hospital has resulted in the injury of six medical staff of the hospital, and the conditions of some of them are serious.Along with condemning the criminal act of the Zionist army against the Kamal Adwan hospital, the ministry has called on international and humanitarian organizations to help the hospital and medical workers in the Gaza Strip.At the same time, the Ministry of Health of Gaza has announced that: since the beginning of the war in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians martyred has reached 44,056 and the number of wounded has reached 104,268.
