According to Reuters news agency, in the Scottish city of Glasgow, protesters gathered on Buchanan Street and hung up posters and banners with the slogan “immediate ceasefire.” Pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Glasgow waved Palestinian flags and some carried signs reading "You must stop genocide". Demonstrations in support of Palestine and condemnation of the crimes of the Zionist regime also took place in a number of other cities in Scotland, including Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee. The Scottish pro-Palestinian organization wrote in a post on social media site X: "Although there has been a pause in the genocide, the people of Gaza are suffering unimaginable horror. They need our support." After 47 days since the start of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas' operation against the Zionist regime, Al-Aqsa Storm, the Israeli regime's cabinet on Wednesday morning accepted a ceasefire agreement brokered by the governments of Qatar and Egypt. A four-day ceasefire between the Zionist regime and the Hamas resistance movement in the Gaza Strip came into force at 7:00 am Friday. In this regard, 39 Palestinian women and children were released on Saturday evening for 13 Israeli prisoners. Also, according to Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari, 10 Thai citizens and one Filipino citizen, who were among the prisoners, were released last night.
