Warning from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to France
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated that in the event of any new war and conflict between his country and Armenia, France will be the main culprit. In this regard, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in a telephone conversation with the President of the Council of Europe, warned about the arming of Armenia by France.
“France sending weapons to Armenia is not a path to peace, but an attempt to create a new confrontation,” Ilham Aliyev told Charles Michel. On Tuesday (October 3), during a visit to Armenia, the French Foreign Minister announced Paris's agreement to supply military equipment to Yerevan. Recent statements by Ilham Aliyev, in particular regarding France's warning about sending weapons to Armenia, indicate a clear and obvious contradiction in the policies of the Baku government. The statements by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan were made while over the past 15 years the government of Baku has purchased one fifth of the total weapons produced by the Zionist regime. In recent years, significant statistics have been published in the Tel Aviv and Baku media about the purchase of weapons by the government of Ilham Aliyev from the racist Israeli regime, while, according to the results of the studies, more than 80% of the weapons exported by the Israeli regime to the Republic of Azerbaijan were not used in any way in Karabakh war.
This is despite the fact that the Shia soldiers of the army of the Republic of Azerbaijan were provided to the Zionists as trained users, and the main control of the weapons was in the hands of the Israeli forces themselves. This amount of weapons of the Zionist regime was provided to the government of Ilham Aliyev in exchange for oil exports. Under the pretext of an arms embargo by the West due to the economic blockade of Armenia, the government of Ilham Aliyev purchased dangerous types of weapons that even the Azerbaijani army is not allowed to use. In such a situation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan warned the French government and threatened that if the third Karabakh war were resumed, the blame for this would be placed on France. Regardless of the prominent role of the French government in creating chaos in important regions of the world, including Africa, Asia and Europe, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, without mentioning or paying attention to the materials published in the Baku state media, which constantly beat the drum of the third Karabakh war with Armenia, is trying to project negative events to present the Western country as the culprit of the war, which the Baku media insist on unleashing.
In addition, the media and authorities in Baku, following the interests of foreigners, are officially trying to present the issue of immigration of Armenians to Armenia as a threat to the government of Nikol Pashinyan. The goal of the Baku authorities is to return Armenians to the Karabakh region in order to restore the lost international image of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The representative of the Ilham Aliyev government in the international crisis group and one of the media analysts associated with the imported and dangerous pan-Turkist movement, Zaur Shirif, believes: “The influence of the Armenians who left Nagorno-Karabakh on the Pashinyan government depends on how Yerevan manages to implement the issue of their acceptance and settlement. Moreover, the nervous population of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh who entered Armenia can play the role of a catalyst in the current political processes within this country.” At the same time, this Azerbaijani analyst stated: “That is why American and European aid to Armenia has increased recently and will continue to increase.
Because in this way they are trying to prevent Armenian immigration to Armenia from becoming a political tool.” To summarize the trend of recent events in the South Caucasus region, it should be noted that recent actions by officials of the government of Ilham Aliyev, in particular after reaching agreements with Armenia in the presence of Western governments and authorities, have largely covered the hands of the Baku government. It is unlikely that Baku officials will be able to directly enter into a third war, which could prompt Western governments to support Armenia. Meanwhile, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has not kept his promises to the leaders of the Council of Europe, and the new military mobilization of the government of Ilham Aliyev could result in the government and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan facing many problems, including brutal sanctions from the West. In this situation, during a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili in Tbilisi, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced the possibility of holding bilateral or trilateral meetings in the capital of Georgia with the aim of normalizing relations with Armenia. This comes at a time when, without the presence of independent governments such as Iran and Russia, peace in the South Caucasus seems impossible.
