"Second Suspect Arrested in Theft of Banksy's Drone-adorned Stop Sign Artwork"
A second individual has been apprehended in connection with the reported theft of a Banksy artwork featuring a stop sign adorned with military drones, according to London police. The Metropolitan police disclosed that a man in his 40s is currently under arrest on suspicion of theft and criminal damage, while a suspect in his 20s, detained on Saturday, has been released on bail. Witnesses who arrived at a Peckham street corner shortly after Banksy shared a photo of the piece on Instagram recounted their shock at observing a man using bolt cutters to remove the sign, with another individual stabilizing a bicycle nearby. The incident, captured in both photos and video, unfolded on December 22 in the south London neighborhood. Banksy's artwork, depicting three drones on a traffic stop sign, is part of the artist's often political and satirical commentary on war. Many of Banksy's followers interpreted this particular piece as a call for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
