The United Nations Security Council has convened a meeting whose main agenda is to investigate the attacks by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip.

Ammar bin Jame, the Algerian representative at the session, explained that the aim of Israel's attacks and genocide against the people of Gaza is to expel the Palestinians from their land through policies of genocide.

Bin Jame said that 63 percent of hospitals in the Gaza Strip are not functioning and more than 100 ambulances have been destroyed, adding that Israel is attacking medical institutions and their staff.

The Algerian representative has stated that the Israeli regime has deliberately set fire to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip to prevent residents of the area from receiving medical treatment.

"Israel's action to deny medical treatment to Gaza residents and force them to flee their homes by attacking hospitals is a war crime," said Ammar bin Jame.

At the UN Security Council meeting, the Russian representative also criticized the Israeli military's attacks on civilian areas and medical facilities, saying that these inhumane acts must be stopped.

Meanwhile, Linda Thomas Greenfield, the US Representative to the Security Council, has supported the Israeli military's attacks on the Gaza Strip.
