Sexual abuse forced a British soldier to commit suicide
According to a leaked report of the British Army, a female soldier of the Royal Army of the country committed suicide after being sexually abused by one of her commanders. The report stated that sexual abuse in the army camp caused Jaysley Beck, a 19-year-old soldier, to commit suicide. Jaysley Beck, 19, was found dead at Larkhill Camp in Wiltshire in December 2021. The report says that two months before the young soldier took her own life, her commanding officer tried to continue the sexual abuse by sending her hundreds of messages and sexual images, but Jaysley Beck refused to continue this relationship because she had a boyfriend.
Two years ago, following an investigation into the rape and abuse of female soldiers by British army commanders, and following public opinion, the British Parliament announced that it would investigate the matter. After investigating the sexual abuse of women in the British army, the country's parliament has confirmed the increase in such evil acts and said that there is no proper procedure to investigate sexual abuse in the army. The investigation of the British Parliament also said that, the complaints of women who are victims of sexual violence, are not dealt with properly.
