On Monday, it was reported that the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, arrived in China on a working visit, during which he will have meetings with the country's top political leadership.
"I am glad that this year we will have our next, already second, personal meeting. I am grateful to you for the warm welcome shown to the Russian delegation in the hospitable Chinese soil," Shoigu said at the meeting with Wang Yi in Beijing.
He noted that the 19th round of Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic security issues is being held on November 12.
"On October 22 in Kazan, Russian President Xi Jinping expressed confidence that cooperation in this format will make an important contribution to the development of Russian-Chinese relations," added the Secretary of the Russian Security Council.
