The alarm given by the WHO: technicians are prevented from entering the structure which houses highly dangerous "pathogens". Ceasefire terminated, risk of exodus for 270,000 citizens. Almost all the foreigners in Sudan having been made safe, now the danger is the definitive explosion of the civil war, with consequences that could escape the very intentions of the warring parties. The WHO today raised an alarm because a medical laboratory would have fallen into the hands of one of the factions with the risk of dispersing viruses of highly infectious diseases - in particular measles and cholera - which are kept there. In the African country the situation continues to be very tense. At least 21 people were injured after the Alroomy hospital, in the city of Omdurman, north of Khartoum, was hit by artillery shells. This was reported by sources of the «Nova» agency on the spot, according to which violations of the ceasefire were also recorded in Shambat and Khartoum Bahri, also north of Khartoum. Fighting in the capital Khartoum continues despite US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's announcement yesterday of a 72-hour ceasefire. The warring parties, the Armed Forces on one side and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the other, accuse each other of having violated the truce. The WHO has drawn up a balance sheet of the clashes of these days: 459 are dead, 4,072 injured, while according to the UN, 270,000 people could flee from Sudan to Chad and South Sudan, aggravating the humanitarian emergency.
