All this a delegation of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) of the US House of Representatives has arrived on the island for a five-day visit, during which they will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen, Vice President Lai Ching-te and Minister Foreign Minister Joseph Wu. This was reported by the Taiwanese Foreign Ministry in a statement, specifying that the mission is led by the president of the RSC, Kevin Hern. The delegation also includes Republicans Burgess Owens, Mike Flood, Mike Collins, Russell Fry and Keith Self. Founded in 1973 by Paul Weyrich, the Republican Study Committee is the largest caucus in Congress: it includes 175 members of the Republican Party.
