While addressing the people of his state last week, the lawmaker was asked about the temporary pier being built by the United States near Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of the region, who the United Nations says are facing a serious risk of starvation. .
 
In his response, Walberg said: "we shouldn't spend a single penny on humanitarian aid". Saying this in a video posted online last Thursday, the parliamentarian added that: "everything should be finished quickly. Let it be the same with regard to Ukraine".
