Hamas Condemns Provocative Statements by US President
On Tuesday evening, the Islamic Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, condemned the provocative statements made by US President Joe Biden regarding unconditional support for the Zionist regime.
According to the Palestinian news agency Sama, the statement from this movement reads: "Hamas condemns the provocative statements of US President Joe Biden, concurrent with the brutal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and other occupied territories. We view Biden's statements as an attempt to cover up the crimes and terrorism of the Zionist government, which is causing a massacre among the Palestinian people, and we know why he does not mention the crimes of the Israeli military against the Palestinian people before the eyes of the world."
Hamas added, "Biden's words were replete with political and legal fallacies, openly siding with the most abhorrent racist occupation in the Middle East and giving the green light to continue crimes against women, children, and the elderly, as well as imposing collective punishment on more than 2 million Palestinians in Gaza, which is a clear violation of the conventions and international agreements that this country purportedly upholds."
It goes on to say, "Hamas is the national liberation movement of Palestine, fighting in the occupied territories against a criminal occupation regime, defending the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and self-determination. Operation Al-Aqsa Storm is an operation to defend the Palestinian people, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the prisoners, to halt Zionist crimes and occupation by the enemy, and to end the siege on Gaza."
At the end of this statement, it states, "We call on the American government to reconsider its position and abandon its double-standard policy regarding the occupation by the Zionist regime. We stand for the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves, the Islamic and Christian land, its sanctuaries, and above all, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, until all its desires and aspirations in the realm of freedom, return, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital are fulfilled."
