The consensus of all Iraqi political currents to end the presence of foreign military forces
Qassem al-Araj, Iraq's national security advisor, emphasized that the country's political currents agree on ending the presence of foreign troops.
Ghasem Al-Aarji said in a conversation held within the framework of the 6th Baghdad International Conference. "There is a consensus on the withdrawal of foreign forces, and in return for the help of international coalition forces and countries in the war against the ISIL terrorist group, official Baghdad will sign bilateral security agreements with these countries." He emphasized. "There is a consensus on the need to protect Iraq from the presence of foreign military forces." In the past years, the people of Iraq and together with them various political groups and parties emphasized the need for the withdrawal of American troops from this country. Despite several rounds of strategic negotiations between Baghdad and Washington to end the American military presence in Iraq in connection with the end of the fight against ISIS and the approval of a bill in the parliament of this country to withdraw all foreign soldiers from Iraqi territory, the United States continues to violate the territory of Iraq.
