The German Chancellor's new statement on the war in Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, referring to the continuation of this country's interventionist approach to the war in Ukraine by sending weapons and financial resources to the country, said that this war will not end soon. Under the pretext of the war in Ukraine, Germany supplied the country with large-scale weapons, including tanks, heavy artillery pieces and air defense systems. Last Friday, the German government announced a new military aid package to Ukraine under the pretext of war in the country, which includes projectiles, drones and military vehicles. The war in Ukraine began in February 2022, following the West's inattention to Moscow's security concerns and the expansion of NATO forces near Russian borders. On February 21, 2022, the President of Russia recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics in the Donbass region and three days later launched a military operation, which he called a "special operation", against Ukraine. In this way, the tense relations between Moscow and Kiev turned into a military confrontation. During this period, the member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), including the USA, abandoning the diplomatic option to establish peace, continued this warmongering with enormous military support from Kiev, and now equipping Ukraine with advanced assets and heavier military weapons are clearly following the Kremlin's policy of provocation.
