The OIC calls for an investigation into Israel's 'war crimes' in Khan Yunis, Gaza

A statement released Monday by the 57-member community condemned the killing and mass burial of hundreds of Gazans in the grounds of Nasser Hospital as "war crimes, crimes against humanity and state terrorism."

The OIC has identified those killed as medical teams, patients and refugees who were in Nasser Hospital.

The organization has said that "hundreds of the displaced, injured, patients and medical teams have been tortured and abused before being hanged and buried in a mass".

The OIC has asked the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice to fulfill their responsibilities regarding this crime.

Civil service workers in Gaza have recovered the bodies of 283 Palestinians in several mass graves in the yard of Nasser Hospital, most of them women, children and the elderly. Some of those killed were blindfolded and handcuffed.

The World Health Organization said on April 6 that the largest hospital in the Palestinian territory, al-Shifa, was completely destroyed last month in an Israeli attack.

Approximately 34,097 Palestinians have been killed; mostly women and children, and another 76,980 people have been injured. More than 1.7 million Palestinians have been internally displaced in Gaza during this period of conflict.
