A statement issued by the spokesman of the Sudanese Army, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, said: "Our forces have destroyed a major attack by Dagalo terrorist militias in the town of El-Fasher."
For its part, the Sudan Liberation Movement, which is fighting alongside the army, has reported that the Rapid Aid Forces tried to attack the town of El Fasher from all sides after gathering thousands of fighters.
The statement added that: "Our forces have given a lesson to the RSF, by killing hundreds of fighters of the group and dispersing the attackers."
The governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, has also said that the joint forces that cooperated with the Sudanese army yesterday destroyed the RSF fighters in the town of El Fasher.
