Sudan has announced the failure of its talks with the American delegation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, an issue that is increasingly losing hope for peace in Sudan in recent days.

According to the Arab news agency, the United States recently asked the Sudanese Army (SAF) under General Abdel Fattah al Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led by General Mohammad Hamdan Dagalo to hold talks with its delegation in Jeddah Saudi Arabia before the talks in Switzerland but first the RSF group rejected the American request and secondly the Sudanese Army that participated in the meeting said their talks with the Americans had failed.

The meeting in Geneva Switzerland on the Sudan crisis will be held under the supervision of the United Nations, the African Union, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) but since now it has been difficult to predict the success of the meeting to end the power struggle between of military generals in Sudan.

On Friday, the Sudanese Army (SAF) sent its members to Jeddah to talk with the American delegation about the agenda of the Geneva meeting, but the Sudanese Army has issued a statement and announced that the talks of its members in Jeddah did not continue as nothing new was presented by American delegation.

The Governing Council of Sudan under the country's army has said in its statement that its members have found out in the Jeddah talks that the United States does not believe it is its responsibility to force the RSF group to quickly implement the Jeddah Agreement, so it did not see the need to continue negotiations with the United States.
